Biography:

Mr. KHATTAB is a highly skilled Project Management Professional Engineer with 20 years of experience in the civil engineering field. He has worked on a wide range of large and complex projects globally, both within international PMC consultancies and construction companies. His expertise lies in all aspects of the design and construction management process. Mr. KHATTAB is responsible for delivering, maintaining, and managing a comprehensive suite of project controls, including cost estimating, cost management, planning and scheduling, risk management, contract administration, and information management. He provides leadership on projects, reviews new-awarded projects, identifies risks and areas of concern, and oversees construction planning and scheduling efforts. Mr. KHATTAB is dedicated to improving the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance outputs and monitors projects' progress. He also prepares and reviews project status reports for top management.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PMO):

  • Develops PMO mission, vision, objectives, and development plan
  • Establishes teams structure, policies, procedures, standards, and project management tools and practices
  • Provides department procedures and KPIs based on clear scope requirements
  • Implements ERP systems to fulfill department requirements and improve business flow processes
  • Ensures adherence to PMO quality processes and standards

PLANNING:

  • Leads planning department tasks, including creating baseline time schedules with associated resources and cost loading
  • Monitors and evaluates progress performance regularly, identifies areas of concern and risks

CLAIMS:

  • Prepares comprehensive claims analysis and reports (time and cost) due to various impacts (e.g., inflation, acceleration, change orders, delay, productivity) using time impact analysis

ESTIMATION/COST PLAN:

  • Creates and reviews project budget files to ensure alignment with cost parameters and department budget plans

COST CONTROL:

  • Collects and analyzes actual costs, compares them to budget costs, and uses forecasting techniques to predict EAC (Estimate at Completion)
  • Directs actions based on analyzed data to increase profit and minimize losses

FINANCIAL PLAN:

  • Supports the finance department in issuing profit and loss statements and annual projections by integrating time schedules and cost analysis to provide insights on backlog and cash flow.
